A new video outlining some of the highlights of the life and career of Loney Hutchins has just been released. Check it out:
The video relates where I grew up, my involvement with the House of Cash, my effort at providing therapy for traumatic brain injury patients, my handful of years as a Gallatin restaurateur, and my Appalachia Record Co. music label.
A whole lot of other stuff has also happened in between!
The background music for the video is from my performance at the Exit In music venue in Nashville back in the 1970s with John Clausi and Mike Noble. Exit In was historic enough to have its own Wikipedia article, which says that it developed a unique reputation because of “unusual things” that happened there almost nightly back around the time when we played there.
The background music is my song, “Timbertree”, which is appropriate, because I did grow up along the Timbertree Branch where my parents lived in Tennessee near the Virginia border.
